gold becoming gold


Berry blue have already lost their leaves, along with all the other early-prototype edible blue honeysuckles.  An odd year, we often commented how green these plants all were into late summer.  In the past leaves dried off in late July/early August.  With well-spaced out rain they seem to have retained the function of their green chlorophyll later than in the past, something that is more tied to the solar cycle, so perhaps our observation is incomplete…
